Big Tigger's 4th Annual Celebrity Classic: Automotive Rhythms Hits the Streets!
From the Youth Sports Festival to the Celebrity All-Star Basketball Game, Big Tigger did it up again in Washington, D.C. for his annual celebrity bash. For three days, influential figures from the music, film and sports industry came to town to help support Big Tigger and the Street Corner Foundation, Inc., whose mission is to raise funds for HIV/AIDS awareness. The non-stop weekend provided activities for all age groups.
To kick off the weekend, the Automotive Rhythms’ crew hit the pre-game Celebrity Bash at Dream Night Club. Our vehicle line-up was even crazier than the guest list. How about the 2006 Range Rover, Benz’s AMG E55 wagon and Automotive Rhythm’s HUMMER H2 SUT “Street Team” vehicle. The celebrities kept it coming for pre-game warm-ups before attacking the dance floor. Inside the spot, the official party was happening on the fourth floor with DJ Xclusive mixing the hottest tracks. In the mix was the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Deon Grant, the Philadelphia Eagles’ Terrell Owens, Vivica A. Fox, and of course, the man of the hour, Big Tigger.
Day two, Saturday, provided the main event. The All-Star Celebrity Basketball Game, which was held at Burr Gymnasium on the campus of Howard University, was literally a who’s who. As with any female, it was not hard to watch a game featuring Washington Wizard Antawn Jamison, Terrell Owens, Loon, DJ Clue, Big Tigger, and a host of other celebrities running down the court. For the guys, sitting on the sidelines was a stunning Vivica A. Fox, Taraji Hicks, and Melissa Ford. Comedian Red Grant provided some laughs for the restless if they were not into the hoop action. The game was hot, the gymnasium was hotter, yet the hottest was “Pumpin' It Up” with Joe Budden and Lil’ Mo’s half-time performances. Everyone was up and moving when Lil’ Mo let us know “what kind of boy she wants.” T.O. took home the MVP for his dunking highlights while Akademiks Apparel ran with the “Best Gear” accolades. After the game, while the Automotive Rhythms team rocked Akademiks, we took to the floor and passed out shirts to both the fans and the players. Afterwards we jumped in our 2006 HUMMER H1 monster machine.
Saturday night it was on to another of D.C.’s nightclubs, Zanzibar on the Waterfront, for the “ All White Championship Affair.” Many of the athletes from the basketball game and even Lil’ Mo came out to kick it!
