2007 NBA All-Star Weekend in Vegas: The Glitz, The Glamour, The Game!
The glitz, the glamour, the game! Las Vegas, Nevada host to the 56th annual NBA All-Star Game. The desert air was thick with excitement as celebrities and ball players ruled the days into the night. Automotive Rhythms (AR) was a special invited guest to several “A List” events that took place in party central Sin City.
 No matter where the action was, AR laid its cards down in class at every event, like a skilled Vegas Black Jack dealer. We made moves in Audi’s Garnet Red Pearl 2007 Q7 quattro SUV, and their most intelligent vehicle, the Pearl Black S8 quattro flagship valued at $110,000. It kept all eyes on ARtv! Chi-Towns’ platinum Hip-Hop recording artist Twista fell in love with the S8 as he cruised Vegas AR style prior to his All-Star Blowout mixer hosted by extraordinaire Zari Gomez and Babita Reis. Automotive Rhythms covered Vegas like Kobe on LeBron with three seconds left on the clock. Follow us through the fast lane as we take you to our next destination hot spot!
Upon our arrival, the first stop was the MAGIC tradeshow to see what the fashion industry was holding in store for the spring and summer seasons. From L-R-G to Rocawear, designers enticed visiting guests with an array of catchy themed booths displaying their finest gear.
 As we threw it into second gear, AR hit the red carpet arrivals at the Wynn Hotel and casino resort for the Lincoln sponsored Zo and Magic’s 8-Ball Challenge. This celebrity pool tournament brought out some of Hollywood’s brightest stars in professional sports, movie and television. With host Queen Latifah and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges roaming the game floor with microphone in hand, the night’s energy was guaranteed never to skip a beat. Who’s Who in the crowd included Gabriel Union, Regina King, Amare Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony, Vivica A. Fox, Nick Cannon, “Dr. J,” Dwyane Wade, Big Boi, Reggie Bush and Terrell Owens.
 Staying on course, we swiftly cruised into third to pay a visit to our good friends at Volkswagen to enjoy their VW I.P. Experience -- aimed at showing respect, appreciation and value for African-American and urban communities. Held at the Las Vegas Fashion Mall, DJ Biz Markie spun while guests enjoyed a pampering session consisting of free hair cuts, massage therapy, manicures and facials. ARtv host Kimatni Rawlins was finally able to get his baldy at the urban day spa. As well, Reggie Bush stopped by for some quick entertainment. And if you were feeling lucky, the VW I.P. Experience invited folks to enjoy their “Million Dollar Joy Ride” in a VW Touareg. The on-road, off-road test course located on the south parking deck of the mall allowed VW to show off the Touareg’s skills. NBA great Kenny Smith and VW later put it down like true ballers at Kenny’s Celebrity Poker Tournament held at the Empire Ballroom. The Wire’s original O.G. Wood Harris blessed the set along with San Diego Chargers’ Shawne Merriman, ESPN’s Ryan Stewart of the “2 Live Stews” and several other sports and entertainment icons. Topped off with the world famous DJ Jazzy Jeff rocking the wheels, guests were jamming through the night, or should I say morning. This party ended at 6 a.m.!
 With so much energy carrying over from the VW I.P. Experience we kicked the gear straight to overdrive for a celebrity poker tournament with vitaminwater, Reebok and hip-hop assassin 50 Cent. MGM Grand’s Crazy Horse Lounge was host to this high octane card game where stars like Eva Longoria, Tony Parker, Akon, Mekhi Phifer, Shawn Marion, Floyd Mayweather and many more put their poker faces on with 50 for a little Texas Hold Em’ fun. Gift prizes included custom STRUT grilles, JL Audio speakers, Rennen Rims, B&W Speakers, Moda-V headphones, Reebok apparel and a ton of other goodies. The parties were never ending as XM Satellite Radio hosted a head nodding, body shaking event at the Rum Jungle with Ludacris. It helped to soothe the beast in everyone.
