2009 BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupe

BMW is going out on a ledge with this new model, and we like it. Styling is superb, blending the best of SUV and sports coupe attributes. With five-door versatility, the X6 Sports Activity Coupe is available with a 300-horsepower, twin-turbo V6 or twin-turbo 407-horsepower V8.

Both trim levels come standard with BMW’s “xDrive” all-wheel drive system. Unlike other all-wheel-drive systems, the X6 system promotes rear wheel bias. When the system senses excessive wheel slip, it shifts torque to meet conditions, offering maximum traction and better handling on all surfaces.

Inside, the BMW X6 is typical BMW, which means it is all business. Prices for V6 models start at $52,500, while V8 models, available later this year, are expected to start at $63,900.
