2008 Chevy Malibu

When we learned the Chevy Malibu was due to be redesigned, we did not blink an eye. “Another rental car” we mused as we thought of recent Malibus and their lackluster style, interior features and overall comfort. Well, the 2008 Chevy Malibu is based on the same "Epsilon" platform shared with the Saturn Aura and Pontiac G6, which means that this is no rental car!

The Malibu‘s interior is very bold, and somewhat masculine. It features:

  • A dual cockpit design, separated by a “waterfall” center console that can be trimmed in aluminum or several types of wood. The driver looks at a triple gauge pod cluster with deep set backlit gauges.
  • A thick rimmed steering wheel that houses switches for voice command, audio and other functions.
  • An “LTZ” option with two-tone brick and Ebony leather with a sliding center armrest, eight-speaker premium audio and remote start, and automatic climate control.

And what Chevy would be a true Chevy without OnStar telematics? This advanced system can give you turn by turn directions, unlock your car if you are locked out, will notify authorities if your airbag deploys and offers a host of vehicle diagnostic and personal concierge services.

The 2008 Malibu is a hit. We look forward to spending more time behind the wheel!
