2007 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 1500: Fatal Attraction!

Leon L. Brittain 09.17.07

Who can take a stock Dodge Ram Quad Cab 1500, sprinkle it with MOPAR accessories, a custom grille from E&G Classics, add beefy Goodyear Fortera tires and the meanest rims on the street, 22” D’Vinci Ventos? The AR Team can and our new Ram goes by the name “Fatal Attraction,” powered by Shell V-Power! It’s the perfect vehicle for Bike Rhythms’ 2007 Urban Bike Tour.

With the help of AR’s relentless team of professional installers at Revision Auto Body in Rockville, Maryland and Big Boys Toys in Oxon Hill, Maryland, the Shell V-Power Fatal Attraction Dodge Ram went from a mild-mannered, capable truck to a menacing beast on the street through AR’s process coined “Ramifications.” No, not modifications or customizations, but Ramifications which follows our policy of adding strategically selected accessories that allow AR’s vehicles to operate as originally intended (or better) without sacrificing style, comfort or performance.

Additional accessories added to compliment this 5.7-liter V8 HEMI pounding out 345 horsepower include an aggressive MOPAR hood scoop, chrome gas cover, chromed aluminum tubular stepbars, an over-the-rail bed liner and tailgate cover, a shrink resistant easy to use snapless tonneau cover, and a deep growling, side-mounted dual exhaust system with chrome tips. We’ll use this premium tower to haul our primary Tour bike, a 2005 track-ready Yamaha R1 fitted with Genuine Yamaha GYT-R carbon fiber accessories comfortably positioned in the six-foot bed. Needless to say, Fatal Attraction has plenty of low-end torque and high-end power.

Driving throughout the mid-Atlantic region hitting 10 main stops on Tour, fuel economy was a major factor. The Ram’s multi-displacement system deactivates 4-cylinders during highway driving to boost fuel economy. It’s a welcomed feature considering today’s rising fuel costs. However, Shell V-Power premium fuel kept the HEMI running healthy.

“Ramifications” didn’t stop with the exterior. For increased comfort and a unique look, the interior features custom fitted Katzkin leather and micro-suede upholstery adorned with the Automotive Rhythms logo stitched into the front seats. Pumping up the sound of the stock entertainment system -- consisting of the radio, CD and rear DVD player with wireless headphones -- is an amplified rear seat mounted 8” KICKER subwoofer system providing extra bass without going excessively overboard.

Throughout the Urban Bike Tour, comments have ranged from “oh, take my picture with this one,” or “I need one of those to tow my bikes,” to “now that’s nice and clean and I’m not even into trucks!” Looks like our work here is done!
