HARLEY-DAVIDSON 2007 MOTORCYLCES
Harley-Davidson Motor Company pioneers the next generation in big twin performance premiering the Twin Cam 96 engine as the heart of the Dyna, Softail and Touring families.
The Twin Cam 96 replaces the Company’s legendary Twin Cam 88 V-Twin engine and incorporates a number of design changes including a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission that delivers 17 percent more torque, a sixth gear ratio which reduces highway-speed rpm by 11 percent and newly designed mufflers that give exhaust a throaty, more commanding tone.
“A V-Twin engine has always been the centerpiece of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle,” said Bill Davidson, Director of Motorcycle Product Development, Harley-Davidson Motor Company. “It’s integral not only to the performance of the motorcycle, but also to its styling, to its sound and to the way it feels to the rider.”
Models for the 2007-year include the 50th Anniversary Sportster, the FXSTC Softail Custom, the VRSCX and the VRSCDX Night Rod Special.
- 50th Anniversary Sportster: Born out of the rock ‘n’ roll generation, the truly special 50th Anniversary Sportster model celebrates the Sportster heritage of raw-boned styling with narrow and agile street performance.
- FXSTC Softail Custom: This new model redefines long-haul comfort and easy-riding style with a 1960’s-inspired stepped seat and a raised passenger position featuring an integrated backrest with a new chrome aluminum sissy bar.
- VRSCX: Inspired by the Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines drag team, this dragster-styled motorcycle features graphics reminiscent of the V-Rod motorcycles raced by the Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines team. Only 1,400 units will be produced of this limited edition V-Rod.
- VRSCDX Night Rod Special: Powerful and sleek, the Night Rod Special offers lowered rear suspension that hugs the pavement while forward-mounted controls and drag bars mold the rider into a stretched-out, take-no-prisoners posture.
