Some companies go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to supporting America’s troops.

Some companies go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to supporting America’s troops. Jeep is one such company which has partnered with the USO to launch Operation S.A.F.E. Return, a program designed to give back and support our men and women in service defending this great nation. To help with the remarkable outreach, Jeep and the USO enlisted the support of celebrity chef and retired Marine John Besh, actress Olivia Munn and Super Bowl Champion Ray Rice (Baltimore Ravens) for the grand opening of the new Warrior and Family Center in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

“Tonight, more than 200 troops and their family members are here to celebrate with us and Jeep in the grand opening of this wonderful facility,” said Sloan Gibson, President and CEO of the USO. “This is a great opportunity for Jeep employees to engage directly in a day of volunteer service to say thank you to our troops.”

The USO and Jeep were both founded in 1941 and have traveled along parallel paths in support of the U.S Military throughout the country’s history. Operation S.A.F.E. Return provides Secure transportation for USO centers, Aid for transition with special military incentives for the purchase of Jeep vehicles, Freedom Adventures with homecoming celebrations designed to uplift, and Enduring Care for those wounded and providing support to their families. Kim Adams-House, Head of Jeep Adverting spoke passionately about Jeep’s involvement and dedication. “This is about two brands coming together with a common set of values in support of those that lay their lives on the line everyday,” she said compassionately. “It’s our opportunity through financial contributions and transportation to assist the ill, wounded and their families as they return home.”

After an exhausting Super Bowl schedule, Ray Rice gratefully took time to show his backing by doing Cupids Shuffle with the kids, signing autographs, and speaking personally regarding his brother who is currently serving in Qatar. “This was a no-brainer for me,” Ray said. “It didn’t matter if I was still in season or not. When something like this pops up on your schedule, you act!”

Jeep has provided an opportunity for everyone to get involved by donating $1 for every #joinOSR tweet, which is in addition to the $1,000,000 already donated and invested.
